English education has changed More than three years have passed since English became a subject in elementary schools, and English education for elementary school students has become established nationwide. The English curriculum guidelines for elementary schools from 2020 and junior high schools from 2021 have changed significantly, and fifth and sixth graders currently have two classes a week, for a total of 70 hours of English lessons, including “listening”, “speaking”, “reading”, and “listening”.
