Named after Prince Albert Kamehameha, the last heir to the Kingdom of Hawaii, “Ka Haku” means “Prince of Hawaii.” Inspired by Waikiki’s heritage, energy and beauty, Ka Haku was designed to blend traditional and contemporary elements to celebrate island life. Our spacious accommodations feature resort-style amenities including private arrival and departure lounges, a state-of-the-art fitness center, pool, and pool bar. The timeshare resort will also feature a public Japanese-style bathhouse, and new shops and restaurants will open on the ground floor. Located steps from iconic landmarks such as Waikiki Beach, International Marketplace and Royal Hawaiian Center, Ka Haku will also improve public facilities in the surrounding area. Kaiulani Avenue from Kalakaua Avenue to Koa Avenue will be open to two-way traffic, improving convenience for drivers and pedestrians. In addition to new shopping and dining options, the resort will be surrounded by public pocket parks along Prince Edward Street, providing green space in the neighborhood. HGV will also commit $1 million in funds to be used at the discretion of the Honolulu City Council for the benefit of the community. As part of HGV’s commitment to the communities in which it operates, for every Ka Haku sold, HGV will make a donation to the Waikiki Community Center. Approximately $10,000 from sales will be donated to this nonprofit organization over the next year. This is in addition to the $10,000 donation HGV has already committed to the Waikiki Community Center in 2024.

Construction is expected to resume in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the resort is expected to open by summer 2026. Unlike traditional hotel vacations, timeshares offer a unique ownership model that allows guests to return year after year for extended stays. In 2019, Hawaii’s timeshare industry contributed $943 million in tourist spending across the state, with members having an average net worth of $1.1 million and spending approximately $4,300 per stay. This economic impact supports more than 540 local businesses, creates nearly 1,700 jobs, and generates more than $50 million in annual tax revenue.
