Finnair, the shortest and fastest link between Japan and Northern Europe, will connect Finland with various parts of Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka) from the end of March 2025, in order to provide Japanese customers with more travel options. We will gradually increase the number of regular flights. Finnair, which has long considered Japan an important market in Asia, has been steadily increasing the number of flights to Japan to increase capacity for Japanese travelers. We also plan to introduce two new Airbus A350-900s this year. In the summer schedule starting March 30, 2025, the number of flights connecting Chubu Centrair International Airport and Helsinki Airport will be increased from two times a week to four times a week. This will meet the strong demand for tourism from Europe and the increasing demand from business travelers from Japan. Finnair Japan Branch Manager Sakari Rom commented on the expansion of Japan routes, including Nagoya, as follows: “Finnair is committed to offering Japanese travelers an excellent travel network to the Nordics, Europe and the Baltics. Demand for corporate travel remains strong and demand for leisure travel continues to grow. In addition, demand from inbound tourists is increasing as they take advantage of the weaker yen.” In the summer of 2025, the number of flights connecting Japan and Helsinki Airport will increase from 20 to 25 times a week (Tokyo/Haneda 7 times a week, daily Tokyo/Narita 7 times a week, daily Osaka/Kansai 7 times a week). We are planning to increase the number of daily flights (Nagoya/Chubu 4 times a week). Finnair flies to 70 destinations in Europe, including Rome, Prague, and London, and offers highly convenient flights from Japan that depart in the evening and arrive locally in the morning. We will continue to understand the needs of modern travelers, constantly evolve our services and work methods, and offer even more fulfilling travel options.
