TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Shimokitazawa (located in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, hereafter referred to as TBS Shimokitazawa), which disseminates art and trends from Shimokitazawa, a city of individuality and diversity, is based on the concept of “a place where you can update yourself every day surrounded by books”. TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Shimokitazawa will be holding a solo exhibition titled “KARMA” by John Kafka, an illustrator who is receiving a lot of attention both domestically and internationally. The venue will be filled with delicate, vivid, and unique worldviews that pay close attention to detail, as well as works that are rich in emotion, such as anger, sadness, resignation, and impatience that can be seen deep within. The theme was chosen to help people reconsider themselves through their mother’s memories and their own memories.
