We bring you an official interview with the four members who have finished recording this song! –Please tell us your thoughts after finishing the recording of SolidS’s “SEXY♂SENSE”. Eguchi : It’s the same song as the previous one, but it sounds different, and I think it’s worth it for the singers to sing it with such a remake and arrangement (lol). The melody is much more intense and has a more playful feel to it, so I think the people who were listening to it at the time will really enjoy it. Saito : It’s been a while since SolidS recorded a song with all members, but I vividly remember singing “SEXY☆SENSE”, which was previously recorded, and I once again felt that it was a very memorable song for me. The direction of the arrangement has changed considerably, and the beat has become stronger and more fashionable, so I wonder how the current members of SolidS will approach singing. I think it’s an exciting song that connects the past and the present, making you think about it. Hanae :I had fun recording it. We always thought this song was a great song that would get really excited live, and because we’re used to singing it, we have a lot of things we want to do like this and that, so we sing it again after some time has passed. I feel that this is a very good attempt. On the other hand, there are of course some old qualities in the sound sources I recorded in the past, so I had fun recording it even though I thought it would be difficult to figure out how to make it new and better. Umehara :When I first received the song, I overlooked the fact that it was a self-remake…I listened to it thinking it was my first song, and it really stuck with me, and the lyrics seemed to come out of my head. I’ve been listening to and singing a lot of Yon-san’s (Akira Takizawa) songs, so I thought I’d finally gotten to this point, but then I realized, “Oh, I’ve sung this before” (lol). I was a little surprised when I found out it was a remake. As for the song, I got the impression that it had a nostalgic feel to it, with the tempo being different and some rap-like parts. Of course it was good before the remake, but I think it’s even cooler and has a more modern feel. I think the skills of the three other people besides me have improved even more, so I hope you enjoy listening and comparing them! –Please tell us your thoughts after finishing the recording of “Last Darling”. Eguchi : I thought the difference in temperature from “SEXY♂SENSE” was amazing (lol). A cool person is now heartbroken again… In a sense, it’s a very SolidS-like precipitous decline (lol). I think it’s a combination similar to THE/SolidS. Saito :This is a song with a atmosphere that I personally like very much! Speaking of SolidS, I felt that it was close to the atmosphere of “Shall We Dance?” in the early days. I had the impression that it was a pop song with melancholy lyrics. A long time ago, I told Jon that I wanted to cover “Shall We Dance?” and although I didn’t think it had anything to do with it, I was able to sing such a groovy song over time. I was happy. Also, since I was the fourth person to record “SEXY♂SENSE”, I could see most of the whole picture. However, regarding “Last Darling”, I was the second person to record it after Shiki, so I’m looking forward to seeing how Ritsuhana and Dai-chan will sing it, and I’m also looking forward to the change of key of the song. It’s a feeling that hasn’t been found in previous SolidS, so I thought it might open a new door. Hanae ：As a song, it has a refreshing atmosphere, but as for the lyrics, I thought it was a song with a bit of sadness and complex emotions (lol). This time, Ritsuhana was moving in a slightly different way than usual, as she was often in the lower part, and it was interesting to sing. Umehara ：Jon-san’s songs are really difficult (lol). But once you get used to it, it’s easy to sing, and it’s a song you can sing along to…I feel like every song has a very addictive “Jon-san-bushi” feel to it, but this time I especially felt it. At first, I thought it would be difficult, but as I recorded it, I thought that if I ever had the opportunity to sing this song in front of everyone, it would be a stylish and exciting song. –Please give a message to the fans who are looking forward to the CD. Eguchi : It’s been a while since SolidS released a new song, so I think it’s one that lets you feel that SolidS has really stepped up since then, and I think it’s something that you can really enjoy, so I hope you enjoy it. I hope everyone listens to it a lot. Saito :I thought self-remake was a very interesting attempt. There are parts that try to approach the songs they have sung in the past, and on the other hand, there are parts that use expressions that can only be used now, making it a very enjoyable album to listen to, and the music of the four members has improved to a new level.
