The Switch version of the GeGeGe no Kitaro horror game “Noroikago GeGeGe no Yoru” is out today! Toei Animation Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Katsuhiro Takagi) and Toysium Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and CEO: Yoshifumi Mori) have announced the release of “Noroikago,” a new horror game based on the “GeGeGe no Kitaro” manga. We’re pleased to announce that the Nintendo Switch version (download only) of “GeGeGe no Yoru” was released on the Nintendo eShop today, August 28th. We’d also like to introduce the unique perks that can be acquired in the new end-game feature, “Yokai Stamp Book.”

What is [Noroi Kago Gegege no Yoru]? This is a 1-4 player cooperative escape/survival horror game based on the anime “Gegege no Kitaro.” Escape from the cursed realm of “Noroikago,” where terrifying monsters lurk, by running, hiding, and even acting as a decoy for your allies. You can also challenge the curse with NPC characters who act as your substitutes, and cross-play is supported between Nintendo Switch and Steam.

About the end-game content “Yokai Seal Book” A new feature: upon clearing the four stages of the Samurai Residence, Abandoned Hospital, Traditions Village, and Mine, you’ll receive a seal based on the difficulty level and the yokai that appeared. You can acquire unique communication stamps and perks depending on the number of seals you collect. If you select the additional yokai “Zunberabo” on “Hard” difficulty, two Zunberabo appear at the same time, making the difficulty extremely tense. Filling the stamp book will be no easy task.

Introducing Unique Parks ・Talent for Body Transformation This park can be obtained by collecting 15 stamps from the Yokai Seal Book and clearing 12 stages. The player’s body shrinks and their footsteps sound cuter. This isn’t just a playful park; the cute, beeping footsteps narrow the audible range and also increase the speed at which other players can be revived. It’s a practical park.

Equipping this park transforms the player’s face into that of Zunberabo. Zunberabo is already a suspicious character, but inside it’s the player. One of the great features is that it doesn’t turn you into a half-demon, but of course, if you get caught by a demon just because of the change in appearance, you’re out, so be careful.
