An event has been announced to celebrate the publication of “All About Love,” a collection of tanka poems by author Kudo Rain and poet Someno Taro! The event will be held at the Aoyama Book Center main store in Tokyo on Sunday, September 21st, and at Umeda Tsutaya Books in Osaka on Saturday, October 11th. Kudo Rain, active in a wide range of fields including essays, novels, and picture books, is one of the most notable authors today. She was so impressed by the third collection of poems by poet Taro Someno, “First Love,” that she personally approached Someno about a collaboration. She brought the idea to the editorial department of Numero Tokyo, and thus “Everything About Love” was born. For 90 minutes, they’ll talk about how that started, the songs that were born not just because they were one person but because they were two, their challenges in a new place away from the world of poetry at Numero Tokyo, and the attention to detail they paid to publishing the book. In addition, at Umeda Tsutaya Bookstore, the two will introduce their favorite romance novels, relating to the theme of “love” in their tanka collection.
