artTunes Co.,Ltd. Press release: August 29, 2025 The “a-mark” certification mark, which visualizes corporate support for culture and the arts, is born—passing on culture and the arts to society 100 years from now. [Starting operations in September 2025] Converting corporate support into intangible assets and building a cultural foundation that looks 100 years into the future Art Tunes Inc. (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has announced a new
certification system called “a-mark” that visualizes corporate support for culture and the arts. By visualizing corporate support as an intangible asset, this system aims to serve as a foundation for passing on culture and the arts to society 100 years from now. The system will begin operation with partner companies on September 1, 2025, and will be gradually expanded domestically and internationally, aiming to become an international trust index.

◆About the a-mark The a-mark is a new indicator that measures the value created by companies through support for culture and the arts and communicates it to the future. It clearly visualizes support for culture and the arts as part of CSR activities and ESG management, and functions as a mechanism to foster corporate trust and brand value. Specifically, • Creating new opportunities (Providing spaces and projects where artists and the next generation can take on new challenges) • Human Resource Development (Supporting the development of cultural leaders through education and experience) • Provision of resources (returning social resources such as funds, space, and networks) This includes multifaceted support such as: By accumulating these efforts, each individual initiative will not end as an isolated event, but will become “sustainable assets” such as social trust, brand value, and a cultural legacy, forming a cultural foundation that will support the company over the long term. a-mark is a system that communicates these less visible contributions to society as intangible assets, or cultural and artistic assets.

◆a-mark Concept The philosophy of a-mark is embodied in the concept: “The flapping of a small butterfly’s wings becomes a flower of culture and art.” Just as the flapping of butterflies (the butterfly effect) brings about great change, when individual corporate contributions are pooled together, they will eventually become the power to change society as a whole. To symbolize this, we have adopted a symbol of multiple butterflies coming together to form a single flower. Image

◆The future that a-mark aims for The a-mark is based on the idea that, rather than placing value solely on large-scale initiatives by a single company, even small involvements and partial support can be made visible, allowing them to overlap and become organically connected. It is this accumulation of efforts that creates a social foundation for the inheritance of truly sustainable cultural and artistic value. Starting in September 2025, the system will first be implemented for artTunes’ partner companies, and the system’s structure and framework will be developed through specific case studies. In the next phase, we will expand the scope to a wider range of companies and establish it as a new evaluation standard that demonstrates the role that companies play in improving society over the long term. In the future, we will elevate the concept of “our responsibility to connect culture and the arts to the future” to an international evaluation standard and establish it as a new pillar alongside environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations. Ultimately, we envision becoming a force that leads Japan and the world toward a rich and artistic society in the future.

◼️Art Tunes Inc. Based on the concept of “an era where everyone is an artist,” we are working to create an artistic society through a variety of initiatives, including the profile tool “artTunes,” “a-mark,” which certifies companies and organizations that have implemented artistic value in society, “EXHIBIT.//CCJ,” an art and recruitment media born from the perspective that companies are also creative actors, and “IIIARTMAN-CELL,” an art competition that challenges the next generation of talent to question “what is art?” Creative talent is born, nurtured, and blossoms within society. By establishing the foundation to support this cycle, we will realize our vision of “an artistic society where all human talent can blossom.”
