The Metropolitan Opera (commonly known as the MET), the world’s leading opera house, located in New York, is a member of the Metropolitan Opera House. Enjoy the latest stage performances on the big screen from the comfort of your own home in Japan with “MET Live Viewing.” The long-awaited “MET Live Viewing 2025-26 Season” will open at 21 cinemas nationwide from Friday, November 21st! The poster and flyer visuals and stills have now been released! A story of “love” that touches the heart. Eight moving performances you can’t miss! The masterpiece of bel canto opera, La Sonnambula, featuring the resounding voice of diva Nadine Sierra; La Bohème, a tragic tale of the fleeting love of youth, presented with a historic production and the ultimate cast; and La Bohème, 1860. The program will feature eight must-see films packed with heartwarming love stories, including Arabella, a classically produced love story of the 1920s Vienna aristocracy; Andrea Chénier, a grand historical tale experienced by a famous conductor and a star couple; The Puritans, Bellini’s masterpiece and the pinnacle of bel canto opera; Tristan and Isolde, an opera about the ultimate love story with an innovative new production; Eugene Onegin, Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece that tells the tragic story of love’s misunderstandings; and Frida and Diego: The Last Dream, a moving story about the love between husband and wife of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo.
