ABEMA, the new television of the future, is hosting “WORLD SCOUT THE FINAL PIECE,” an audition program by HYBE and Geffen Records to unearth Japan’s top talent for a US debut in 2026. The Final Piece will be broadcast exclusively free of charge starting in spring 2026. It has been announced that one person selected through this project will be a member of a new global girl group from HYBE x Geffen Records. “WORLD SCOUT THE FINAL PIECE,” which will air on “ABEMA,” is a scouting project run by HYBE America, a collaboration between HYBE, the group behind BTS and many other global artists, and Geffen Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group, one of the world’s largest music companies, to fully enter the global market. For this project, HYBE’s top scouting team will visit Japan and hold large-scale auditions across the country, with an eye toward a US debut in 2026. HYBE x Geffen Records will be discovering the one and only artist in Japan to become the final member of a new global girl group. The members of this new global girl group are Emily, Samara, and Lexie, who were trainees in “The Debut: Dream Academy,” the audition project that produced HYBE’s first US-based group, KATSEYE.
