Takayoshi Toritani (left) and Yoshio Itoi (right) We’re hosting the second installment of a special talk show featuring longtime professional baseball legend Kei Toritani and superhuman Yoshio Itoi. Enjoy their witty conversation, including behind-the-scenes stories from their playing days and a look back at this season. A special full-course meal will be prepared for the occasion by the executive chef of Hotel Nikko Himeji. Plus, there will be a raffle for fantastic prizes, including autographed merchandise. [Toritani Respected】 Joined the Hanshin Tigers in 2003. He played in 1,939 consecutive games, the second-highest streak in professional baseball history, and played every game for 13 consecutive seasons. He became the 50th player in history to reach 2,000 hits in an official game and the 15th player in history to reach 1,000 walks. In 2020, he transferred to the Chiba Lotte Marines and became the 44th player in history to reach 1,000 career runs. He retired in 2021. He currently works as a professional baseball commentator and makes numerous television and radio appearances. He continues to demonstrate his multifaceted talents through lectures, book publishing, and more. 【Yoshio Itoi】 He joined the Nippon-Ham Fighters in 2003. He played for the Orix Buffaloes in 2013, becoming the team’s batting champion in 2014 and the oldest player to win the league’s stolen base title in 2016. From 2009, he achieved a batting average of .300, 20 stolen bases, and won the Golden Glove Award for six consecutive years, an unprecedented feat. He played for the Hanshin Tigers from 2017, and achieved a total of 300 stolen bases in 2021. He retired in 2022.
