Press Release: September 1, 2025 Study: UMEDA URBAN MUSEUM, a new project for the Osaka Kansai International Art Festival 2025, will open in September, featuring Yoji Sakuma’s Vocaloid x Art Exhibition “Speculative Music/Narrative” and video works from around the world. The exhibition “Chapter 3: The Relationship between Cities and Art” will be significantly expanded towards the second half of the exhibition at LUCUA Osaka. The Osaka Kansai International Arts Festival Executive Committee (within Art Rogue Inc.) will be holding a special art exhibition, “Speculative Music/Narrative School,” from Sunday, September 14, 2025, to Monday, October 13, 2025 (national holiday), at Lucua Osaka, a fashion building directly connected to Osaka Station (Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka City / operated by JR West SC Development Co., Ltd.). This exhibition is part of the exhibition program for “Study: Osaka Kansai
International Art Festival 2025,” and features artwork by popular Vocaloid artists who are at the forefront of internet culture. This series, which has attracted a total of over 5,000 visitors to date, has been held for the fourth time this year, with previous events focusing on themes such as “Expanding Music” and “Music as a Community.” The theme this time is “Speculative Music.” All of the artworks created by popular Vocaloid artists include full songs, combining entertainment value with thoughtful thought. Together with internet music creators, we present a form of art that expands imagination for the future, creates new perspectives on society, and inspires action.
