ABEMA, the new television of the future, will open a My Hero Academia dedicated channel for a limited time starting Monday, September 1, 2025, in preparation for the broadcast of the final season of the hit superhero anime My Hero Academia. “My Hero Academia” (commonly known as “Hiroaka”) is a hugely popular manga by Kohei Horikoshi that ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine for 10 years from 2014 to 2024. Set in a world where people with supernatural abilities known as “Quirks” are commonplace, the hero, Izuku Midoriya (commonly known as “Deku”), grows alongside his friends at the prestigious hero training school, U.A. High School, to become a “hero” who protects society and fights against criminals who exploit their “Quirks.” Fans worldwide have been captivated by the thrilling drama and heated battles unfolding among Deku and other characters, and the manga series has sold over 100 million copies worldwide as of the final volume, volume 41. The TV anime based on the novel has aired for seven seasons, starting with the first in 2016. The eighth and final season, the “FINAL SEASON,” is scheduled to begin airing on Saturday, October 4, 2025, and is attracting the attention of many fans. The newly launched “My Hero Academia” channel will begin broadcasting all 13 episodes of the first season for free starting at 6:00 PM on Monday, September 1, 2025. It will also broadcast seasons 1 through 7 of the TV anime (159 episodes in total 4 episodes of “Memories”), as well as all seven original anime series, and the official “My Hero Academia” spin-off series “Vigilante: My Hero Academia,” which aired in April 2025. All 13 episodes of the first season of “ILLEGALS-” will be broadcast free of charge daily. They will also be available for free viewing for a limited time after broadcast. The battle between Deku and the other heroes and the villains is finally reaching its climax! Before the FINAL SEASON begins, be sure to tune in to “ABEMA” to watch the growth and battle trajectory of Deku and the other U.A. high school students. In addition, to commemorate the broadcast of the FINAL SEASON and the launch of the specialty channel, we have decided to hold a giveaway campaign where you can win a signed poster of voice actors Daiki Yamashita (voice of Izuku Midoriya) and Ayane Sakura (voice of Ochako Uraraka).
