Manager Yasuhiro Kazama and goalkeeper coach Kiyoyoshi Kobari were hired for the promotion. They dressed up as Tora-san and Hara. Yahiro Kazama, head coach and technical director of Nankatsu SC, is one of the most renowned coaches in Japanese soccer. After retiring from playing, he led Kawasaki Frontale as a coach, building the foundation for the team’s perennial victories with his offensive and creative “Kazama Soccer.” He later led Nagoya Grampus before taking over as head coach of Nankatsu SC in the 2024 season. For this promotional event, Coach Kazama, a legend in the world of Japanese soccer, transformed into Tora-san, the protagonist of the film “Otoko wa Tsurai yo” (It’s Tough Being a Man)! He took on the challenge of the shoot in his signature style: trunks, belly warmer, hat, and baggy shirt. Normally known for his intelligent and tactical soccer coaching, Coach Kazama’s transformation into the downtown hero Tora-san is a must-see. I Love Tora-san! Talk Show 2025 The “I Love Tora-san! Talk Show” will feature guest Masayasu Kitayama, who appeared as Kurumaya employee Sanpei in the 40th and 50th “Otoko wa Tsurai yo” films, and Tora-san fan Hide from Penalty, who will be throwing the ceremonial first pitch that day. Hide was a member of the soccer club at Funabashi Municipal High School and played as a regular from his second year.
