The “1st Nola Original Story Award,” a creative contest with the potential to lead to various commercialization opportunities, is now accepting submissions! The creative platform “Nola” has been working hard to build an environment where authors can create structured stories, not only by writing manuscripts, but also by managing setting materials and characters, creating plots, and synchronizing data between PCs and smartphones. Thanks to the support of our users, we celebrated our seventh anniversary since the service launched on June 17th. “Nola Novel,” a novel submission site where you can directly post works written on “Nola,” operates an “Editorial Bulletin Board” where editorial departments post and solicit submissions of the type of work they are looking for, so that more authors can make their commercial debut. Currently, over 50 editorial departments in Japan and overseas use Nola, where over 60,000 new works are created every month, to post the works they are looking for to authors and discover promising original works that match their company’s needs. Our purpose is to “build a system that allows authors who create original works, the source of their works, to make a living from writing and earn a sufficient income.” We will continue to accelerate our agent business that connects authors and companies by building a seamless business that covers the entire process from “discovery,” “production,” and “publication” of original works. The “Nola Original Story Award” is a creative writing contest that will be held from Monday, September 1, 2025 to Monday, January 12, 2026. It will bring together the largest number of editorial departments in Japan to simultaneously participate in the contest, with the aim of turning the original works created by authors into commercial works such as novels, manga, webtoons, and videos. We will continue to strengthen our support for domestic and international editorial teams working to create new hit IP, and strive to build an even more vibrant environment for the content industry both in Japan and overseas.
