[Susono City] Looking for photos of Mt. Fuji taken from Susono City
Susono City Press Release: September 1, 2025 [Susono City] We’re looking for photos of Mt. Fuji taken from Susono City. The winning submissions will be featured in the Susono City Calendar, which promotes the appeal of Mount Fuji. Every year, Susono City publishes the “Susono City Government Calendar,” featuring photos of Mount Fuji taken from within the city. The cover and the 13 photos of Mt. Fuji for each month have become established as a way to convey the charm of Susono City’s four seasons to people both inside and outside the city. We are accepting photos until Friday, September 19th, so please apply.

Mount Fuji, visible from Susono City, has a beautiful symmetrical ridgeline, and we are proud to be “the city with the most beautiful view of Mount Fuji in Japan.” We are looking for photos of Mount Fuji, showing its changing expressions throughout the seasons. Submitted Work Photo of Mt. Fuji taken from Susono City Submission Guidelines Size must be 2L. Photos must be taken by the applicant themselves after January 1, 2023. Each applicant is limited to three submissions. Color photos must be landscape orientation. How to apply Application Form Application Address Postal Code: 410-1192 Address: 1059 Sano, Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture To: Susono City Mayor’s Strategy Department, Secretariat and Public Relations Division Application Period June 2 (Mon) – September 19 (Fri), 2025 (Note) Postmark valid Application Notes We will assume that applicants have given their consent to the portrait rights of people and other individuals in their submitted works at the time of submission. Selected works will be asked to submit the data at a later date. When taking photos with a digital camera, please use the largest size and highest quality setting, without using digital zoom. Digital photos that have been edited, such as by removing or adding structures, will not be accepted. (RAW data development, HDR, comparative light compositing, and monochrome photos are acceptable.) The copyright of submitted works belongs to the photographer. However, the city will assume that applicants have agreed to the city’s free use of selected works, and reserves the right to use them for posters, websites, publications, exhibitions, etc. If the city wishes to lend selected works to a third party, the purpose and terms of use will be explained to the photographer in advance, and loans will only be made after consent has been obtained. Submitted works will not be returned. After the calendar is published, you agree to exhibit your winning work in a city-sponsored or subsidized photo exhibition or other event. Honorary Reward The winner will receive a 5,000 yen honorarium (cover, January-December winners). Other The calendar will be distributed free of charge to households in the city, one per household, and will also be available for sale to those who request it. Paid advertising will be placed in the calendar.
