Enomoto Noriko’s Comment A journey begins without any special preparation, simply by setting out on a journey. Simply turning down a different road from the usual opens up an extraordinary world, and I feel as if my five senses are awakened. Through my “Special Every Day” experiences with my 5-year-old daughter, I realized that traveling can enrich our lives a little. As adults, we tend to be tied down by work and position and put our dreams on the back burner. I myself was afraid of leaving my job and had given up on my dream of traveling around the world. But when I took the plunge, the world opened up beyond my imagination, and I began to like myself a little more, feeling liberated. My daughter will probably worry about this someday too. But I hope that moments like this trip, when you feel like it’s okay to detour or run away, will be a source of strength. I would be delighted if the photo exhibition in Osaka inspires someone to take the next step.
