TØGARU is a four-piece rock band consisting of Nakanishi Imou (vocals/guitar), Tamotsu Umino (guitar), Ishii Ryuichiro (guitar), and Asami Michiya (bass). His solo project, Togaru, ended in December 2024, but in 2025 he relaunched as a band under the name TØGARU. While retaining strong influences from their roots in emo, alternative, hardcore, and shoegaze, the band embodies music that incorporates the physicality of dance music from electro to 2-step. They transcend genres and scenes, and are single-mindedly pursuing the music they seek. A three-man release event with JIGDRESS and the bercedes menz will be held at Shibuya Spotify O-nest on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 (national holiday)!
