This year, it’s even bigger! “KUMAMOTO Taiwan Festival 2025” will be held from October 31st to November 3rd! This year marks the third time we’ve held the event, and we’re excited to announce that both the scale and content have been further enhanced! The KUMAMOTO Taiwan Festival Executive Committee (organized by Kyushu Sanko Landmark Co., Ltd.) will be holding the KUMAMOTO Taiwan Festival 2025 , where visitors can experience Taiwanese culture, for four days from Friday, October 31st, 2025 to Monday, November 3rd (national holiday) at Hanabata Square and Sakuramachi Kumamoto in the center of Kumamoto City. This event will be held for the first time in 2023, attracting 74,000 visitors in its first year and 100,000 last year. This year marks the third time the event has been held, and we are pleased to announce that it will be even bigger and more exciting than ever before.

This is a significant increase from last year’s 44 exhibitors. In addition to authentic Taiwanese cuisine, exhibitors will be selling Taiwanese goods and souvenirs, as well as authentic foot reflexology and a store selling nostalgic retro games popular at Taiwanese night markets.

A performance featuring approximately 500 Taiwanese lanterns Approximately 500 Taiwanese lanterns will be displayed inside the venue and on the terrace of Sakuramachi Kumamoto. Amidst the magical light, this year, a street modeled after a Taiwanese night market will be recreated, creating a space where you can enjoy strolling and eating your way through the area.

Kyushu’s Largest Taiwan Festival We will be offering a wide variety of programs, including Taiwanese cuisine, Taiwanese goods sales, tourism promotion, traditional dance, and lantern events. We will be promoting Taiwanese culture on one of the largest scales in Kyushu.

(Paid) ・Taiwan Quiz: A visitor-participation event with the chance to win Taiwan-related merchandise. ・Stamp Rally: A stamp rally will be held where you can win a trip to Taiwan! Participation is free. ・Music Stage: Live performances by local artists will enhance exchanges between Kumamoto and Taiwan.
