HERALBONY LABORATORY GINZA Gallery (Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will be holding “Unique Works Vol. 3 RYOYA AKAIKE Solo Exhibition” by artist Ryoya Akaike from Wednesday, September 17th to Monday, October 20th, 2025. This will be the artist’s first solo exhibition, and will then travel to HERALBONY ISAI PARK (Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture) from Saturday, November 1st to Friday, December 5th. Ryoya Akaike has been drawing motifs that have captured his heart since childhood with free-flowing lines. After participating in his high school art club, he broadened his range of expression and now pursues his own unique palette using acrylic paints and colored pencils. His portraits accurately capture the characteristics and expressions of his subjects with an impressive rhythm created by the strength and flexibility of his lines. His eyes, sharp yet gentle, exude a unique presence. His accumulated sketchbooks contain a variety of motifs, and his repeated depictions of the same subject demonstrate his commitment to capturing its essence. This exhibition showcases Akaike’s perspective and the breadth of his expression through works born from this creative approach. This first solo exhibition marks an important milestone for Akaike, whose creative drive lies in the joy of meeting and connecting with people through drawing.
