Winner: Tarlyya Co., Ltd. (third from the left) This event is a karaoke competition open only to tenant companies in the Shinjuku Mitsui Building. First held in 1975, this year marks its 48th anniversary, making it a major summer tradition. Participants are limited to three teams per company, and some companies select participants internally. In addition to singing ability, the elaborate productions and the united support of employees are also highlights. Once again, the excitement in the venue continued from the first day of the preliminaries, with fierce competition unfolding. Only 20 teams made it through the preliminaries and advanced to the finals on the third day. When the finalists for each day were announced, cheers of joy and surprise were heard, tears of frustration were shed, and teams were seen praising each other’s efforts. The winning team, Tariya Co., Ltd., was presented with the grand prize by guest judge Hitomi. All prizes were sponsored by tenant companies, and winners received luxurious prizes such as travel vouchers, home appliances, and meal vouchers. The large amounts of confetti that flew onto the stage were made from shredded paper in consideration of the environment. Along with loud cheers, the cheering squad threw the confetti onto the stage with their own hands in time with the songs, further livening up the event. Under the slogan “COLORFUL WORK,” we aim to promote
communication within our tenant companies and interaction between them through these initiatives, providing a comfortable working environment that further increases employee engagement from a softer perspective. ■ Situation on the day of the tournament

This event, held as part of this effort, has also been called Shinjuku’s “cultural festival for working adults,” and has promoted communication both inside and outside the company as an event that adults can seriously participate in. While new work styles such as remote work are becoming more common, lack of communication remains a challenge for companies. Through these events, we aim to connect employees of tenant companies in a real space, fostering new forms of communication and contributing to improved employee engagement. We believe that creating social value leads to creating economic value, and that this economic value will in turn create even greater social value. When we formulated our new Group Management Philosophy in April 2024, we identified six “GROUP MATERIALITY (priority issues)”: “1. Contributing to industrial competitiveness,” “2. Coexistence with the environment,” “3. Health and vitality,” “4. Safety and security,” “5. Diversity and inclusion,” and “6. Compliance and governance.” We will address these material issues through our core business and contribute to sustainability. [Reference] ・”Group long-term management policy”
