The much talked about sumo show restaurant has finally arrived in Sapporo for the first time! Chronos Gaia Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kuriyama-cho, Yubari-gun, Hokkaido) is pleased to announce the opening of the Sapporo Sumo Stable Entertainment Sapporo Sumo Club in Sapporo, Hokkaido, as a tourist hub. “Sapporo Sumo Stable Entertainment” opened on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Sapporo Sumo Stable Entertainment is the only sumo show restaurant in Japan to be officially recognized by two former yokozuna, the 63rd Yokozuna Asahifuji and the 70th Yokozuna Harumafuji. When it comes to tourism in Hokkaido, skiing is one of the first things that comes to mind. However, with the recent unusually hot weather, concerns are beginning to be raised about the lack of snow in the winter.
