The third installment of the project, “Japaund MORE,” will feature a new stage production directed by Japanese drummer and dancer Hikaru Ishii, set to take place on Saturday, September 13th, at Yotsuya Civic Hall in Shinjuku, Tokyo. This performance focuses on “matsuri,” a time-honored tradition in Japan. By capturing the history, climate, and moments of human enthusiasm that emerge from these festivals, the performance expresses the richness of the Japanese spirit through the sounds of Japanese instruments.
