Artist: NIL Location: Minamitane Town Photo: Hirohiko Koyamada The Tanegashima Space Art Festival Executive Committee (located in Minamitane Town, Kumage District, Kagoshima Prefecture; General Director: Hirohiko Oyamada; Secretary General and Art Director: Maya Aridome) will hold the “Tanegashima Space Art Festival 2025” from Saturday, November 8th to Monday, November 24th, 2025. Under the slogan “Love the Unknown,” we aim to invite visitors to experience a space that blends space art with the natural beauty of Tanegashima, bringing a sense of familiarity to space and a sense of anticipation for the future. This year’s event theme is “Premonition.” A total of 20 artists, including those active around the world, are scheduled to present 27 pieces, including performances. We hope you will come and experience the exciting “premonition” on-site. ▪️What is the Tanegashima Space Art Festival? The Tanegashima Space Art Festival was launched in Minamitane Town, home to the JAXA Tanegashima Space Center. In an environment where visitors can come into close contact with cutting-edge science and engineers from a wide range of fields, the festival aims to provide a forum for generating unconventional ideas by viewing space not only from the perspective of science and technology but also from the perspective of culture and art.
