Work Introduction “Orion on the Board” This is the latest work by Naoshi Arakawa, the author of “Your Lie in April.” “The fee for the game is one gimlet.” Shogi player Ninomiya Yuhi, who has been on a losing streak, meets bartender Kayamori Tsuki, who plays shogi with genius skills across the bar counter. Tsuki is tyrannical, selfish, and unconventional, but his shogi is sharp and free, truly “chosen by the shogi gods.” A heart-wrenching story of a boy and a girl begins in the world of shogi, a world brimming with talent! A shogi, youth, and love story that begins in a bar!! Venue Introduction Ninna-ji Temple, Head Temple of the Omuro School of Shingon Buddhism This historic temple is the head temple of the Omuro school of Shingon Buddhism and a World Heritage Site. Founded by Emperor Uda in 888, it is known as the “Old Omuro Palace,” a monzeki temple where members of the imperial family have served as chief priests for generations. The temple grounds are lined with historical buildings, including the national treasure Kondo Hall, five-story pagoda, and palace, and are particularly famous for their late-blooming Omuro cherry blossoms.
