These two top artists, each active on the world stage and constantly moving audiences, will perform together at the Takasaki Performing Arts Center in Gunma Prefecture in April 2026. Ayako Tanaka, known for her “angelic voice,” possesses a coloratura that combines virtuosity and grace. And Daichi Fujiki, a world-renowned countertenor who made a stunning debut at the Vienna State Opera, has a unique and captivating voice. This will be their first collaboration since 2024, and will be a special duo recital featuring the two beautiful voices. They will perform a number of masterpieces, including masterpieces from their duets, such as Handel’s “He Will Feed His Flock Like a Shepherd” and Richard Strauss’s “Last Duet,” as well as solo pieces.
