In 2019, Ayako Tanaka was selected as one of Newsweek magazine’s “100 Most Respected Japanese People in the World.” She is currently based in Vienna, the city of music, and is a coloratura soprano active around the world. Her unique voice, described as the chirp of a bird or the singing voice of an angel, will reverberate for the first time in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, in April 2026.
