Tomochika and Reiji’s Fantasy Train is a show where celebrities who love trains and travel enjoy various journeys. The broadcast on Tuesday, September 9th at 9 PM will be the second installment of a project in which the MCs go on various journeys for two consecutive weeks! Reiji continues to discover great spots one after another. He gives loving ribs to Tokunaga Yuki, a semi-regular enka singer who always struggles to find filming locations. ■Train view unique to the downtown area Our next destination was Shibamata Station. This is the home of Shibamata Taishakuten Temple, which is extremely famous from the “Otoko wa Tsurai yo” film series. As they search for their next spot in the downtown atmosphere with the buildings close to the tracks, they hear a voice from somewhere calling out, “Reiji!” From the second floor of a beauty salon, the person calling out to Reiji, his head covered in bubbles, is none other than the “train enthusiast” manager, Minamida Yusuke, who is a familiar face on the show. In fact, this shop also has a great view spot. Furthermore, a set meal restaurant along the line also has terrace seats from which you can enjoy the trains going by. When Minamida mutters, “I wonder if I should live around here,” Reiji comes up with his next plan… We took a short boat trip on the Yagiri Ferry, a ferry close to Taishakuten Temple.
