“GARO” is a special effects series that began airing in 2005. It depicts the exploits of Makai Knights, who are destined to hunt down “Horrors,” demonic beasts that possess and threaten people with “shadows,” and the Makai Priests who support them. In addition to the theatrical version, the series has expanded into all genres, including special dramas, spin-off works, anime, toys, games, and gaming machines. Its dark and unique world view and design, visuals that make full use of VFX technology, and dynamic action scenes have made it an immensely popular special effects action drama for adults. ■Highlights of this Exhibition In addition to a story corner looking back on famous scenes and characters from the past, and exhibits of suits, weapons, and props actually used in filming that are precious and memorable to fans, the exhibition also features comments from staff and related parties, as well as never-before-seen treasured materials.
