(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Masanori Miyazawa; hereinafter referred to as UWS), which operates aquariums and other fish-related entertainment businesses, is pleased to announce that it will be holding a unique event, designated as “Chameleon Day” on September 9th, at the Nara Ikimono Museum, which it operates within the Mi-Nara shopping complex in Nara City, Nara Prefecture. ■ Event summary The Nara Kimono Museum has designated September 9th as “Chameleon Day,” in honor of the chameleon’s curled tail, which resembles the number “9.” To celebrate, the museum will host special exhibits and photo spots showcasing the wonder and beauty of chameleons, as well as events allowing visitors to experience their diverse charms. This initiative is not a one-off; we aim to cultivate a culture in which September 9th is celebrated annually as “Chameleon Day.” We hope that in the future, it will spread from Nara to the entire country as a new commemorative day for sharing the charm of chameleons. 【Special exhibition with the number “9” as its motif】

The museum will be offering an “Original Chameleon Coloring Experience” as a casual experience for visitors. For just ¥100 per session, participants can freely color the provided coloring paper to create a one-of-a-kind chameleon. Completed works can be hung up in the museum’s special exhibition area, and visitors’ creations will come together to decorate one large exhibition space.
