Exhibition,” by popular illustrator Suguru, affiliated with Yoshimoto Kogyo, is currently being held at LOCAL GALLERY BOOKS in Tokyo. Due to popular demand, an additional exhibition will be held in Osaka. With the desire to “make people smile with his illustrations,” artist Suguru transitioned from a comedian to an illustrator. Since then, he has been posting daily “one-panel comics that will make you chuckle with just one frame” mainly on Instagram. This exhibition features his “one-panel comics,” which are his roots and his signature work, expressed on canvas and with acrylic paint. In addition to his daily posts since last year, the exhibition will feature one-of-a-kind works, filled with the passion he has been creating and creating every day in his spare time. Works that could not be displayed at the Tokyo venue and new works created specifically for the Osaka venue will also be on display. This is an original art exhibition where you can experience the warmth of the colors and brush strokes, and the expression of the illustrations, which are quite different from the usual digital works created on an iPad, so please come and enjoy. In addition, artist Suguru will be present during the exhibition, and we will be holding the very popular “One-on-One Portrait Event. In addition, as a first attempt, we will be accepting applications (made-to-order) for acrylic canvas portraits, limited to the first three people. My fourth solo exhibition in Koenji was well received, and I’m grateful to be able to hold another one in Osaka in October! In my solo exhibition held in September, I attempted to express the “single-panel manga” that is the root of my work, using acrylic paint. I’m very excited to be able to hold a sequel to this in Osaka! Even if you’ve never seen me or my work before, you’ll be able to enjoy this exhibition once you see the pictures and title and realize, “That’s what I mean!” In addition to the works that I couldn’t display in Tokyo, I’ve added works created specifically for Osaka, so I look forward to seeing you there! Regarding Orders for “Acrylic Canvas Portraits” Rather than the digital portraits that artist Suguru usually creates, he will draw your portrait as a hand-drawn original piece using acrylic paint on canvas. Pre-orders are limited to the first three people, and delivery is expected to take approximately two months after the end of the exhibition. About “Suguru Artist’s One-on-One Portrait Event at the Osaka One-Panel Manga Art Exhibition” About One-on-One Portraits This is a special event where you can enjoy a one-on-one conversation with artist Suguru while he draws your portrait. For each participant, artist Suguru will create a portrait of you on an iPad in 20 minutes, and the finished image will be given to you on the spot.
