hereinafter “JASRAC”) is pleased to announce the “JASRAC Global Fellowship” (JASRAC Global Fellowship), which supports copyright researchers in conducting research at overseas research institutions for a limited period of time. Applications for overseas researchers for the JSPS Fellowships will begin on October 1st.

For this fifth round of funding, we have expanded the eligibility requirements and the scope of research eligible for support, as well as made part-time lecturers at universities and other institutions eligible to apply, so that more researchers can apply. The outline of the funding is as follows. For details, please see the attached application guidelines. Application Period October 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026 Number of people expected to be hired Up to 3 people Application qualifications – Conducting research on copyright law or copyright-related fields – Employed or enrolled as a student at a university, graduate school, research institute, government agency, law firm, or copyright-related organization located in Japan – Be under 50 years of age at the time of application, etc. Support Details Provides preparation allowance, travel expenses, living expenses (up to 6 million yen per year), research expenses, and accident insurance. Overseas Research Period Any period up to one year (extensions available) Selection Method After a written review and interview by the Selection Committee, the Board of Directors will make the decision.
