(CEO: Yuki Hase) will hold Rakuten GirlsAward 2025 AUTUMN/WINTER, one of Japan’s largest fashion and music events, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Makuhari Messe Halls 9-11.

seven-member hip-hop/R&B girl group XG, which has achieved numerous global successes, has been confirmed to perform. They debuted in March 2022 with their first single, “Tippy Toes.” They became the first Japanese artist to ever rank at No. 1 on the US Billboard chart’s “Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter” weekly chart, and in April 2025, they became the first Japanese artist to headline the Sahara Stage at America’s largest music festival, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, making waves. Furthermore, their first world tour, “XG 1st WORLD TOUR “The first HOWL,” saw 47 shows in 35 cities worldwide, attracting approximately 400,000 people. They announced that they will release their long-awaited first full-length album on January 23, 2026, and will perform a special performance at their first appearance at GirlsAward. In addition, a special stage performance has been scheduled for the drama “Kimi ga Tokubetsu” (Special You Are Special), which will begin airing on the MBS/TBS Dramaism block on Tuesday, September 16th! “Kimi ga Tokubetsu” is the latest work (completed in January 2013) by Momoko Koda, who has created numerous hit manga such as “Heroine Disqualified,” “Sensei Kunshu,” and “Atashi no!” (all published by Shueisha Margaret Comics). It was made into a live-action movie in June of this year and became a huge hit. They also made headlines when they performed on a special stage at the previous GirlsAward. This long-awaited sequel continues the love story untold in the original film between Wakaume Sahoko (Hata Mei), a dark-haired, bespectacled, introverted girl who has come to dislike handsome men due to past trauma, and Kirigaya Kota (Ohashi Kazuya), the leader of the nationally renowned idol group “LiKE LEGEND.” It’s also a slapstick, “innocent, heart-fluttering” romantic comedy packed with stories about LiKE LEGEND members Kurusu Haru (Yamanaka Jutaro), Haruna Yusei (Okubo Haru), and Naruse Issei (Naoya).
