GOAT -INAZUMI Terrace2025 Overview “GOAT -INAZUMI Terrace,” a free outdoor festival combining music, art, and food, will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, on the spectacular beach of Susami Town, Wakayama Prefecture. Last year, the event drew a similar number of visitors to the town of approximately 3,500 people, generating excitement and excitement. This year, the event will transcend the boundaries of Susami Town and evolve into a festival representing the Wakayama/Kinan area. As a symbol of this, we are embarking on new challenges involving multiple generations and regions, such as hosting the “Kinan Summit,” which will bring together key figures from each town in Kinan (southern Wakayama Prefecture), raising funds through hometown tax donations, and planning projects in which local children play a leading role. A variety of artists, including MOOMIN, a singer at the forefront of Japan’s reggae scene, will grace this stunning location overlooking Inazumi Island, the island where the gods reside. Event details In addition to projection mapping shows, live music, dance, traditional performing arts, fire shows, workshops, and food by entertainment teams active across the country, there will also be a talk on disaster prevention. There will also be a new area talk session called the “Kinan Summit,” and content for local elementary and junior high school students, making this a festival that everyone from children to adults can enjoy all day long. • Inazumi Island Projection Mapping & Light-Up As dusk falls, the sacred Inazumi Island is majestically lit up. Spectacular projection mapping based on the island’s mythology is projected across the entire island,
synchronizing with music for a spectacular visual experience. • Disaster Prevention Talk We’ll be inviting high school students from Noto Town, Ishikawa Prefecture, to share their experiences affected by the 2024 Noto earthquake. This talk session will provide an
opportunity to reconsider disaster prevention and reconstruction through the “real voices” of those who have actually experienced it. • New Project: Kinan Summit Young key players active in the Kinan area, including the towns of Susami, Shirahama, Minabe, Nachikatsuura, and Kamitonda, will gather together for a talk session on the theme of “the future of the region.” • 【New Project】”Kids Project” Created with Local Children Local elementary and junior high school students will receive direct instruction from professional rappers and perform original raps incorporating lyrics about the charms of their town. Future leaders will work together to create events such as the “Local Rap Project.” Projection Mapping Show The event will culminate with a projection mapping show that reflects the traditions and future of Inazumijima, an island where the gods reside. All the performing arts and artistic expressions that take place here, along with the smiles of the visitors, will be dedicated to Inazumijima.

What is GOAT-INAZUMI Terrace GOAT-INAZUMI Terrace held its first event last year to address the town’s challenges, revitalize the area, and “create a new flow of people.” The inaugural event attracted approximately 3,500 people, roughly the same number as Susami Town’s population of 3,500. The event garnered a huge response, with over 300 posts on social media saying things like, “It made me want to work hard again tomorrow” and “It was the best event ever.” The event’s name, GOAT, is an acronym for the four words “Greatest Of All Time.” It means the greatest of all time and is used to honor the most outstanding people or works in any field.
