This exhibition commemorates the publication of his second book, “A Guide to the Extraordinary Life of an Aquarium Keeper” (Shueisha International), following his first book, “The Crazy Daily Life of an Aquarium Keeper,” published in 2023. A total of 19 works will be on display, including illustrations used in “A Guide to the Extraordinary Life of an Aquarium Keeper” (Shueisha International), as well as other carefully selected works by the artist himself. In addition, on the first day of the special exhibition, “Something Kind of Bacteria” will visit Atoa and hold a talk with the aquarium staff, where he will share behind-the-scenes stories from the writing of his book and, as the title of his book suggests, talk about the “unusual behind the scenes” of the aquarium. There will be a book signing session for those who purchase the book at ATOA on the day, and 10 customers (subject to change depending on participation) will be selected by lottery from among those who purchased the book for a special tour, where they will be guided into the extraordinary world behind the scenes of ATOA.
