“Extraordinary Aquarium Highlights Exhibition”! ~Special Event! A talk show featuring “Something Bacteria x Atoa Zookeeper” has also been announced. AQUARIUM×ART atoa (Shinkocho, Chuo Ward, hereafter referred to as “Atoa”) will be holding a collaborative exhibition with former aquarium employee “Nanoka no Kin” (Something Kind of Bacteria) titled “Unusual Highlights of the Aquarium” starting Saturday, October 4, 2025.

This exhibition commemorates the publication of his second book, “A Guide to the Extraordinary Life of an Aquarium Keeper” (Shueisha International), following his first book, “The Crazy Daily Life of an Aquarium Keeper,” published in 2023. A total of 19 works will be on display, including illustrations used in “A Guide to the Extraordinary Life of an Aquarium Keeper” (Shueisha International), as well as other carefully selected works by the artist himself. In addition, on the first day of the special exhibition, “Something Kind of Bacteria” will visit Atoa and hold a talk with the aquarium staff, where he will share behind-the-scenes stories from the writing of his book and, as the title of his book suggests, talk about the “unusual behind the scenes” of the aquarium. In addition, a “Book Signing Session & Special Atoa Tour with “Something Kind of Bacteria”” will be held on the same day. There will be a book signing session for those who purchase the book at ATOA on the day, and 10 customers (subject to change depending on participation) will be selected by lottery from among those who purchased the book for a special tour, where they will be guided into the extraordinary world behind the scenes of ATOA. The tour will be guided by “Nanoka no Kin” and a zookeeper from the museum. 1. After working as a saltwater fish keeper, he moved on to work in social education. He currently works on contracted illustrations, mainly of living creatures. His books include “The Crazy Everyday Life of an Aquarium Keeper” (Sakurasha).
