Crazy Bump Co., Ltd., which organizes and manages special exhibitions themed around subcultures such as manga, anime, and special effects, is pleased to announce information about the “Great Mechagodzilla POP UP STORE in Nagano,” which will be held at Nagano Tokyu Main Building from Thursday, October 2, 2025 to Wednesday, October 15, 2025. In the Godzilla series, a world-famous masterpiece of special effects films that Japan is proud of, among the many monsters that appear, there is the mechanical monster Mechagodzilla, who reigns supreme as Godzilla’s absolute rival. Since its first appearance in 1974’s “Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla,” its remarkable setting as a giant, gleaming, steel-colored, mechanical weapon, its overwhelming firepower with its numerous weapons, and its ability to stand in the way again and again, even after being repaired and improved every time it’s been defeated, have made it an indispensable presence in the Godzilla series and it continues to enjoy overwhelming popularity to this day. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mechagodzilla’s debut, a pop-up store will be opening on the 4th floor of the Nagano Tokyu Main Building! A variety of Mechagodzillas, from the original Mechagodzilla to Super
Mechagodzilla and the popular Type 3 Kiryu, will be gathering in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture.
