Hachinohe City Press Release: September 18, 2025 Municipal bookstore holds annual book festival: “Hachinohe Book Festival 2025, City of Books” Period: September 27th (Sat) and 28th (Sun), 2020 The Hachinohe Book Center, a municipal bookstore in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, will be holding its annual book festival, the “Hachinohe Book Festival 2025: The City of Books,” on Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th. There will be plenty to see, including a citizen-participation secondhand book market, sales booths by bookstores and publishers, and special talks by philosopher Zhu Hee-cheol and literary critic Kaho Miyake. We’ll be holding events at three downtown locations that will be fun for both adults and children, including a “One Box Used Book Market” where exhibitors bring a box full of their favorite books, and a character hunt for children. We welcome everyone to come and visit.
