Me-Tele (Nagoya Television Broadcasting) will be broadcasting “Two Dodeska a Day!” starting in the fall of 2023, with the morning program “Dodeska!” and the evening program “Dodeska (Plus).” Now in its 24th year, Dodeska! has been ranked number one in the individual overall viewer ratings for its time slot (Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM) for six consecutive months since March of this year, thanks to everyone’s support! We would like to express our gratitude to everyone in the three Tokai prefectures who supports our program, and we also want to continue to cherish our connections with local shopping districts, local governments, and our viewers. With this in mind, Me-Tele will be holding “Dode Festival 2025” for two days, from Saturday, October 18th to Sunday, October 19th, 2025, at the Me-Tele headquarters and in the grounds of Higashi Betsuin Temple. ■A “slightly new” festival unique to Me-Tele, the TV station next to the temple At the Me-Tele headquarters building, you can enjoy the annual TV announcer experience using a program set, as well as old-fashioned festival content like shooting gallery and ring toss, all in a TV station studio that’s normally off-limits to the public. Plus, content from Me-Tele’s popular programs, like “Chocolate Samnet” and “Akiyama Song Festival,” will also be gathered! It’s packed with experiences you can only get here. The other venue, Higashi Betsuin, is a historic temple founded in 1690 and headquartered at Higashi Honganji Temple in Kyoto. This year, many popular vendors from the “Kurashi no Asaichi” market, held every month on the 8th of every month, will also be exhibiting at “Dode Matsuri 2025.” There’s also a Me-Tele program stage, photo spots, and plenty of other fun content to enjoy all day long! Look forward to this “slightly new” festival held at Me-Tele, the TV station next to the temple! ■ This year’s collaboration with “that sweet” is back, even more powerful! Piyorin, a local sweet representative of Nagoya, is collaborating with Me-Tele’s character, Ulfy, this year! The “Ulfy x Piyorin Love Set” will be available for two days only during Dode Matsuri 2025, featuring the first-ever melon soda-flavored Piyorin, recreating Ulfy’s favorite, melon soda. Try the sweet melon flavor and the new, fizzy texture reminiscent of soda! And what’s more!! This year, Ulfy and Piyorin are also collaborating on stuffed toys. The collaborative plush toy “Ulfy x Piyorin Cuddle Plush Toy,” in which Ulfy is “holding” Piyorin, will be released at the official Dode Matsuri merchandise shop “Dode Shoten,” the online sales site (BLUE LINES EX: operated by JR Tokai Shoji Co., Ltd.), and elsewhere. This collaborative plush toy of the friendly duo that liven up the three Tokai prefectures is sure to make you fall in love with its round eyes and adorable form!
