ABEMA, the new television of the future, will broadcast all 48 episodes of the hit anime “The Apothecary Diaries” for free over three days starting Monday, September 22, 2025. “The Apothecary Diaries” is an anime based on the novel of the same name by Hinata Natsu. Set in the imperial harem, the mystery-solving entertainment follows Nekoneko, a young pharmacist and “poison taster,” as she uses her knowledge of poisons and medicines to solve various difficult cases that occur in the palace. The manga has also been published in two monthly magazines, “Big Gangan” (Square Enix) and “Sunday GX” (Shogakukan), and the series has sold over 40 million copies in total. The TV anime will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons starting in October 2023, and the mystery drama starring Nekoneko, a girl with an unparalleled love of poison, and the comical exchanges between Nekoneko and the handsome harem manager, Jinshi, have become popular, even reaching number one on X Trends.
