Kyoto Seika University (Location: Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City; President: Masato Sawada) will be holding a group exhibition titled “Come over, Home” at Gallery Terra-S on the university campus, featuring works by nine fourth-year students from the Faculty of Art. Kyoto Seika University Gallery Terra-S is a university gallery operated by Kyoto Seika University. It hosts special exhibitions and exhibitions organized by current students, alumni, faculty, and staff, and is open to the general public as well as campus residents. Art is not something that exists in a special place or in a distant world; it is actually quietly present in our daily lives. This exhibition, “Come over, Home,” is designed to allow visitors to experience this essence of art. At the venue, a “home” will be recreated within a white cube. Nine artists will design spaces based on their own sensibilities and exhibit their works, focusing on various spaces within the home, such as living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and dressing rooms. In this exhibition, the artworks are not simply decorative objects. They blend into the entire space, flowing like the air, connecting viewers with the artworks, and each person with the other. “Where is art?” “What is art?” By asking these questions, this exhibition provides a space where you can experience the fact that art is already present in everyday life.
