After majoring in percussion instruments at the Tokyo University of the Arts’ Affiliated Music High School, she graduated from the university. Upon graduation, she received the Acanthus Music Award and the Doseikai Award. As a leader in projects including Answer to Remember, CLNUP4, SMTK, and Songbook Trio, she has also participated in numerous live performances and productions with artists such as Quruli, CRCK/LCKS, Kid Fresino, Haruka Kimijima, and Millennium Parade. In recent years, she has presented “Sound Mine,” a new concert piece by Miyu Hosoi, Shun Ishiwaka, and YCAM at the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media [YCAM], with the theme of evoking memories through sound and resonance. At Assembridge Nagoya, he performed the “Ishiwaka Shun x Asai Nobuyoshi Live Session,” a traveling performance set in the former Nagoya Customs Port Dormitory. His solo performances have been featured in the music video for Yamamoto Seisakusho’s 100th
anniversary model “OU-Ou,” an online special movie for the new Figaro Japon series “Rainbow Time Chapter 15” directed by Tomokazu Yamada, and he was selected to compose the music for the documentary film “Architecture, Time, and Kazuyo Sejima (directed and photographed by Takashi Homma)” about the new building for the Department of Art Science at Osaka University of Arts, designed by world-renowned architect Kazuyo Sejima. His extensive range of work includes collaborations with international artists, including Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jason Moran, Federico Casagrande, Tony Allen, James Francies, John Scofield, Taylor McFerrin, Peter Evans, Fabian Almazan, Linda Oh, Richard Spaven, and Corey King, who have toured Japan.

In 2021, she released her first album, “THE END,” for which she wrote and composed all the songs, and began her solo career in earnest. BiSH sadly disbanded in June 2023, and she is currently pursuing a solo career. In parallel with her activities as an artist, in 2010 she played the lead role of Janis Joplin in the Broadway musical “Janis,” which was performed for the first time in Japan, and in October 2011 she played her first leading role in the film “Kyrie no Uta” directed by Shunji Iwai, for which she won numerous prestigious awards. In September 2012 she held her first ever Nippon Budokan concert, “ENDROLL,” with tickets selling out in one day. In the same year, she held her first overseas solo concert in Taipei.
