Four-and-a-Half Tatami Room” is a human drama set in a
four-and-a-half-tatami apartment in a remote corner of Tokyo, depicting young people struggling between their dreams and reality. Amid a mix of love and conflict, loneliness and laughter, the story asks what it means to be “human.” The director is Ebisuzawa Nanami, who starred in the film “It’s Not a Joke.” Ebisuzawa, who caused a sensation with his previous film, is taking on the challenge of directing for the first time. Will he create another sensation this time? Cast Background For this production, a total of 301 actors auditioned with fighting spirit on full display. As director Ebisawa said, the auditions were like a mixed martial arts fight, and expectations are high for the four actors who won the main roles.
