Alexandrite Stage is a production company founded by actor Daisuke Noguchi in 2017. The company continues to produce popular productions across a variety of genres, including the upcoming Alexandrite Stage x Matsumoto Seicho stage version of “Kurokawa no Techou” (February 2026/Theater Sunmall Shibugeki CBGK!!, etc.) and the musical version of “Kurokawa no Techou” (June 2026/Mitsukoshi Theater, etc.). This work is the final chapter of the historical drama trilogy about the Asai sisters. It is an original story based on the three Asai sisters who lived their own lives single-mindedly during the Warring States period, and the three Song sisters who influenced modern Chinese history. The first film in the series, “PRINCESS TOYOTOMI” (August 10-20, 2023, Shibugeki CBGK!!/Kintetsu Art Hall), centers on the Toyotomi family, into which Chacha, the eldest of the three Asai sisters, married, and stars Sho Ayanagi as Lady Yodo. The second film in the series, “PRINCESS KYOUGOKU” (September 12-17, 2024, Sogetsu Hall), centers on the Kyogoku family, to which the second daughter, Hatsu, has married. The lead role of Takatsugu Kyogoku is played by Noboru Kaneko and Gouki Agata, both in his prime and youth. The third film in the series, “PRINCESS TOKUGAWA” (October 2-8, 2025, Sogetsu Hall), centers on the Tokugawa family into which Go, the youngest of the Asai sisters, married, but also features a
reminiscence of the Asai family. The lead role will be played by Izumi Motoya, who played Asai Nagamasa in all of the series. In this final chapter, the eldest daughter, Yododono, will be played by Oko Seshiro, the second daughter, Hatsu, will be played by Sota Sarina, the third daughter, Go, will be played by Kurata Ruka, and the mother, Ichi, will be played by Okazaki Takako. Other cast members include Asano Kayo, Amo, Rui Makise, Iwata Tomoki, Ohara Mayuko, and Ishida Issei, with Nishioka Tokuma providing a voice role. Producer and director Noguchi said, “Will three sisters who lived such dramatic lives ever appear in the future? This project began after I learned about the three Asai sisters and the three Song sisters. It was a time of war, and I wanted to vividly portray the women who continued to fight in the shadow of the men who devoted themselves to fighting. The sadness, conflict, and prayers they felt were all born of love for someone, and this is a universal theme that resonates with people today. “I think it’s a truly enduring story.
