Inspired by Audemars Piguet’s 150th anniversary, this exhibition celebrates the rich tradition and collaborative spirit at the heart of watchmaking. Celebrating Tradition and Collaboration Since its founding in 1875, Audemars Piguet has been driven by the spirit of collaboration. In its early days, the Manufacture relied on a system of “etablissage,” utilizing a network of artisans and ateliers in the Vallée de Joux, each specializing in the creation of watch components. Audemars Piguet used this division of labor, known as établissage, to source various components, assemble them, and hand-finish them into timepieces. This collaboration has evolved over time, perpetuating the spirit of collaborative wholeness. Today, Audemars Piguet thrives by supporting many partners, suppliers, and local talents, fostering the watchmaking industry’s values of solidarity and friendship. Watches & Wonders Geneva 2026 will be inspired by the brand’s foundational établissage tradition. Connecting the past and the future, this exhibition showcases how contemporary creations emerge from techniques that have evolved alongside tradition, highlighting both individual excellence and the power of collaboration, exploring the essence of watchmaking. In addition, beyond the Palexpo, the Watches & Wonders Geneva 2026 venue, the “In the City” program will expand with a series of public events in the heart of Geneva. This will include a pop-up at the historic Pont de la Machine (Machine Bridge), celebrating Swiss watchmaking traditions and providing visitors with a new way to experience watchmaking. About the Watches & Wonders Geneva Foundation (WWGF) Established in September 2022 as an initiative of Rolex, Richemont, and Patek Philippe, the WWGF is a Geneva-based non-profit organization.
