craftspeople from all over Japan, launched in 2024. IC Agency Inc. (Yoyogi, Shibuya Ward), along with Saito Kikaku Co., Ltd., Career Consulting Co., Ltd., and Amita MCF Co., Ltd., is collaborating with Toray Pan Pacific Open Tennis 2025 and traditional crafts in the same year, marking the second collaboration following THE BEATLES. 2025 marks the 40th anniversary of the tournament, marking the second official year of the collaboration. In addition to this memorable tournament, the participants include 2024 Paris Olympic gold medalist Z. Qingwen and 2020 Tokyo Olympic gold medalist B. Bencic, D. Schneider, and Moeka Uchijima, who are currently the talk of the town. This collaboration features a wide variety of new products and designs featuring traditional crafts from all over Japan, including the following: Akabeko, Shippo-yaki, Shirakawa Daruma (mini), and Echizen Washi paper. Each product features the tournament color blue, and the tournament logo. As the world becomes closer, Japanese-themed content such as washoku (traditional Japanese cuisine) and kabuki (traditional Japanese theater) becomes increasingly global. A return to natural materials and a so-called “Japanese invasion” are accelerating in subcultures. They originated in the mid-Edo period when Matsudaira Sadanobu, lord of Shirakawa Domain, commissioned the artist Tani Buncho to create them. Originally, they were sold as lucky charms at the Ichijin Festival, held on January 14th of the lunar calendar. Today, the name has been changed to Daruma Market, and it is held every year on February 11th.
