Takahashi, who is also an accomplished singer, said, “What can we do for the children of the future? Music has great power, and I want to create opportunities to nurture children’s zest for life.” His words resonated with my own desire to support musicians who take on new challenges on a global scale. We have had a long-standing relationship with Tagajo City, including through the donation of a grand piano, and we are pleased to be able to be involved in this way again. We look forward to hearing music from Tagajo City reach the world and even into space. ▪️About the Sparking Choir Sparking Choir is a choir formed for a joint concert by six groups led by baritone singer Masanori Takahashi in Shiogama, Sendai, Ishinomaki, and Tokyo.

Mr. H, an employee of our company, will be participating in Sparking Choir for the first time with this performance. “I don’t have any direct ties to Miyagi, but I was a teenager at the time of the earthquake. Over the next few years, I’ve visited the area whenever I had the chance and thought about what I could do. This time, I felt like I had another opportunity, so I decided to participate.” In concerts, we express the feelings we want to convey not only through song but also in various other ways, so practicing is more difficult than just singing the notes and rhythm correctly. However, we want to express the power of music in a way that will be felt by both us on stage and the people who come to the venue. ▪️Message from Sparking Choir Director Masanori Takahashi

I am filled with gratitude for being able to invite so many children from the facility, as well as elementary school through high school students who are interested in music. I will use this gratitude as energy to convey my
forward-thinking compassion to the people of Miyagi in many different ways. I am involved in musical activities with the aim of creating a society where children can envision their dreams and hopes, regardless of their background, nationality, or age, and this performance is one example of that. The universe is filled with dreams and romance; children are a symbol of the future; and music has the power to unite our hearts across borders and time. Based on these three themes, the concert will convey the message that utopia is not something that can be achieved through material objects or forms, but through
compassionate hearts, and will be accompanied by a special
space-related exhibition. Profile of Masanori Takahashi Graduated from the University of Southern California’s Department of Vocal Music and completed his postgraduate studies there. After attending the Academy of Vocal Arts, the most prestigious school in the United States, he moved to Italy. While in the United States, he won first place in the competition at the Aspen Music Festival, the largest music festival in the United States. He has performed as a main cast member in opera houses both in Japan and abroad, including theaters across the United States, an open-air opera house in Arezzo, Italy, the Daegu Opera House in South Korea, and the New National Theatre, Tokyo. Appeared on and taught singing on NHK Educational TV’s “Musica Piccolino.” Appeared on and won TV Tokyo’s “THE Karaoke Battle.” Currently, in addition to performing pop and popular songs, he also works as a concert producer and actor. ▪️SPARKING CHOIR Million Stars!
