Material 1. Key Visual (C) Keiko Shibata/KADOKAWA The Bread Thief is a hugely popular picture book series by picture book author Keiko Shibata. The unexpected illustrations and plot developments make this a work that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. The series has sold a total of 4.8 million copies, and with a new volume coming out in September and an anime adaptation also announced, it has gained even wider popularity. The exhibition will be touring Nagoya PARCO from October 3rd to November 4th! This exhibition will feature original artwork from “The Bread Thief,” “The Bread Thief vs. the Fake Bread Thief,” “The Bread Thief and the Mysterious French Bread,” “The Bread Thief and the Onigiri Boy’s Journey,” “The Bread Thief and the Hot Hockey,” and “The Bread Thief and the Apple Clover,” as well as character designs and rough sketches. There will also be numerous photo spots where you can experience the world of the Bread Thief. Enjoy an exhibition space filled with the playful, surreal fun of the Bread Thief. During this period, we will also be running a
collaborative campaign with the Nagoya City Transportation Bureau’s “Petit Trip by City Bus”!
