Shogakukan Inc. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) will begin distributing the complete digital works (20 volumes) of Kunio Tsuji, a writer who skillfully combines various motifs, including history, romance, and philosophy, and has continued to pursue the expression of beauty and ideals in noble stories using themes from all over the world and throughout history. In order to accurately archive the entire scope of Tsuji Kunio’s literature, each volume has been compiled with a specific theme. Volumes 1 through 13 primarily contain novels, while volumes 14 through 20 contain essays, critiques, diaries, and more. The commemorative first volume will be available for download from September 26, 2025, the 100th anniversary of Tsuji Kunio’s birth. The exhibition will be overseen by French literature scholar Shohei Nakajo (former professor at Gakushuin University). With the full cooperation of the Gakushuin University Archives, where Tsuji Kunio taught for many years and which houses numerous materials, the exhibition will preserve Tsuji’s literary achievements for future generations.
