Fukuoka Prefectural Ohori Park The Japanese Garden is currently hosting the “Ohori Park Japanese Garden SORA” illumination event, a limited-time event that will brighten up summer nights, from Friday, July 4, 2025, to Tuesday, September 30, 2025. We’ve received many positive comments from visitors, such as, “I can take amazing photos that you can’t get anywhere else,” “The projection mapping on the garden’s trees is spectacular,” and “I had no idea such a wonderful place existed in the middle of Fukuoka.” Due to the overwhelming popularity of the garden, with a cumulative total of over 30,000 visitors as of September 22nd, we have decided to make “Ohori Park Japanese Garden SORA” a permanent fixture. We invite you to experience “SORA,” a one-of-a-kind experiential art space that combines the tranquil beauty of a Japanese garden with cutting-edge digital art. We hope to provide more domestic and international tourists and local residents with Fukuoka’s nightlife, which continues to evolve with the changing seasons. We plan to continue regular content updates and special projects. As a first step, we plan to launch a free photoshoot service with a photographer at the “Tsukimae Photo Spot” in early October. (If you wish, we will take a photo with your smartphone.)
