destination, rich in historical and cultural assets and packed with must-see spots. In fact, it’s been the center of modern-day
civilization since the Meiji era, and even today, it’s a city brimming with art, promoting initiatives to allow everyone to enjoy art! Visiting the Ueno area, Arimura heads out into the city in search of new discoveries. At Geidai Art Plaza, where you can purchase artwork by students and graduates of Tokyo University of the Arts, Arimura is intrigued by the artworks on display, wondering, “Is this a museum?” It’s a memorable scene, as he carefully examines the artworks and enjoys them. Next, he visits “Hobo Ueno Oshimachi,” a sushi bar known for its creative sushi and alcoholic beverages. While respecting the traditions of sushi, he incorporates foreign elements to create a reimagined version of sushi like no other. This time, she ordered “mount sushi,” a cup filled with seafood and grated yam. She couldn’t help but exclaim, “So artistic!” at the new shape and way of eating sushi, something she’d never encountered before. Afterward, she visited “xart | Kakeru Art,” where she tried her hand at art, despite feeling anxious about creating a piece! Upon seeing the finished product, she beamed with satisfaction. In addition, Vaundy’s unreleased song “Wasuremae” (Before I Forget) is used as the commercial theme. Keep an eye out for the emotional interplay between this and Arimura, who strolls around the city and discovers new charms!

In the hot and humid early August, filming began with Arimura appearing in a cool, cute yellow outfit with a hint of autumn. At the Geidai Art Plaza, where you can purchase works by students and graduates of Tokyo University of the Arts, Arimura was interested in practical art that blends into everyday life, such as plates and cups. She was also seen admiring a white cup with an intricate pattern, exclaiming, “Amazing!” She enjoyed the art while listening to explanations of the designs from the president. She was fascinated by the soap tray, saying, “I want to put some soap on it!” She took photos of her favorite pieces and thoroughly enjoyed herself at the Art Plaza. In “Almost Ueno Oshimachi,” the cast members were surprised by the new sushi and had lively conversations with the director about their favorite sushi during waiting times. They seemed to be enjoying the filming while immersing themselves in the charms of Ueno that they still hadn’t discovered before. At “xart | Kakeru Art,” while being taught how to make art by the teacher, she showed a happy expression, saying, “There’s something that looks like a face! I didn’t know things like this could happen.” When creating her own art, she mainly chooses colors using blue. She chose colors based on her own intuition without any hesitation, boldly flipped the piece over, and created it with a smile. She showed off her work to the staff around her, saying, “It looks like ice cream!” It was so cute, even the filming staff couldn’t help but smile. When asked for a title, she thought for a few seconds before coming up with the wonderful title, “End of Summer”! ■Graphic
